BIOGRAPHY 
 

Mexican tenor Marco Antonio Mondragón Castillo made his solo debut at the age of 18 with the Acapulco Philharmonic Orchestra.

He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in classical singing from the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal (Québec), studying with the renowned tenor Richard Margison, and also completed an academic exchange in Lübeck, Germany.

Since the 2023/24 season, Marco has been a member of the soloist ensemble at the Staatstheater Darmstadt, after previously serving in the same theatre’s choir during 2022/23.

His operatic roles include Andrés in Wozzeck, Der Geschäftsmann in Der Kleine Prinz (German world premiere), Junger Seemann and Hirt in Tristan und Isolde, and appearances in La Traviata and Aida.

He has performed extensively in Germany, Mexico, and Canada, building a reputation for his powerful voice, expressive phrasing, and versatility.
